Another shot of a male summer tanager. I put out oranges and grape jelly. It brings in the tanagers, orioles, grosbeaks, and wood peckers. This guy was near one of my feeders. I try to place the feeders such that there is a natural perch nearby. I prefer these pictures to ones with the birds actually on the feeders. Perhaps this is “cheating” a bit, but it is hard to get this close if just randomly spotting birds.
