Prairie Dock Leaf

Prairie Dock Leaf. This plant has very big leaves. Later in the summer it will grow a very tall stalk with clusters of relatively small flowers at the top. I liked the backlighting on this leaf.

Common Milkweed (Asclepias syriaca)

Common Milkweed (Asclepias syriaca).   Milkweeds are important to Monarch butterflies.   I have planted several species.  This is the most common one that you will see along roadsides.
