Common Yellowthroat (Geothlypis trichas) with a caterpillar

These warblers are pretty common, but I hear them more often than I see them.   The males sing a song that sounds like “wichety-wichety-wichety”.   They look like bandits with their black masks.    They like my blackberry thickets.
