Prothonotary Warbler Box 414-1 First attempt of 2010

Box 414-1

This is a relatively cheap box that I think I bought at Lowes.      It did not have much of an overhang, so I attached some corrugated plastic to the roof to improve on the overhang.     I also put on a 1.25 inch hole restrictor.    I was intending this box for chickadees, but hoping for titmice or nuthatches as well.      It is in a wooded area on the top of a bluff above the Missouri river bottom and Meadow Creek.

View the panorama of this area here.
